Tourism, Hotel Investment & Networking Conference (THINC) Indonesia 2014 successfully concludes on September 5, 2014
Hosted by HVS, the world’s leading hospitality consulting firm, THINC Indonesia 2014 successfully created a distinctive platform delivering significant value for all participants and delegates who had the opportunity to network, learn, and share knowledge and best practices with their regional and international counterparts. Co-Hosted by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Republic of Indonesia and the Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), the conference brought together over 260 industry stakeholders, business leaders and key decision-makers from the hotel and tourism industry from across 17 nations.
The event which took place on 4 and 5 September, 2015 at the Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort concluded on a high note and presented two exciting days of networking opportunities and a captivating line-up of addresses and panel discussions on South East Asian tourism and hotel markets.
This year the conference saw industry experts such as Abid Butt, Chief Executive Officer, Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts; Budi Tirtawisata, Group Chief Executive Officer, Panorama Group; Dharmali Kusumadi, Managing Director, Architrave Design and Planning Services; Djodi Trisusanto, Chief Representative Hotel Development - Indonesia, Marriott International; Guy Phillips, Vice President Development - APAC, Hilton Worldwide; Marc Steinmeyer, President Director, Tauzia Hotel Management; Michael Issenberg, Chairman - APAC, Accor; Nikhil Manchharam, VP Acquisitions and Development - South Asia, Starwood Hotels and Resorts; Roy Sindhunirmala, Founder and CEO, Twenty One Development Group; Simon F Cooper, President and MD - APAC, Marriott International and Shirley Tan, Chief Executive Officer, Rajawali Property Group, discuss key issues, address critical challenges and share valuable insights on the tourism and hotel industry in Indonesia and the larger SE Asian region. In addition, the conference saw a host of important topics such as Investment, Hotel & Mixed-Use Development, Management Contracts, New & Upcoming Destinations and Industry Outlook being discussed and debated.
In addition, the exotic island location made this hotel and tourism investment conference rather unusual. Breaking the stereotype by moving away from the hustle-bustle of the city, the conference offered a unique setting and a relaxed ambience to all delegates.
